RPGXplorer 2.0.0 Alpha 2dOk, hopefully this build is considerably more robust than the previous one. It certainly seems to be. Unless you really know what you are doing I would advise reverting to your pre-alpha database.

RPGXplorer 2.0.0 Alpha 2The alpha of 2.0 has now been updated to address some fairly major bugs and has some further radical performance improvements. Read more at the above link.
[Alpha 2 has been updated a couple of times over the weekend to fix some small bugs and to run on Vista 64-bit. Check the forums to make sure you have the latest version]

System Abilitiy Update for 1.9.0 and 1.9.5 PatchIf you patched your copy of RPGXplorer from 1.8.6 to 1.9.0 then you may be missing a few system abilities, specifically the ones relating to the Multiattack feat, the Nonability features and the Psicrystal Unlink BAB feature.
The following dataset will add these system abilities as well as update your existing feat and features to include them.
Remember to check the overwrite boxes to ensure that your existing components are updated.

RPGXplorer - 1.9.5 RC1 ReleasedVersion 1.9.5 is now available!
This release adds the ability to create and advance monsters, default inventories and wizards and other prepared spell casters can now set their memorized spells!
This release also contains a few performance enhancers, you should see quicker loading times and faster refreshes.

21 New Pathfinder DatasetsDatasets for the Curse of the Crimson Throne and 14 Pathfinder Modules can now be downloaded from paizo.com.
We've also revised the Rise of the Runelords dataset to fix some issues and updated a few things to 1.9.0 functionality.
Please make sure you read the installation instructions in the product description pages if you don't already know what to do!

RPGXplorer - 1.9 HOTPATCH DHotpatch D for RPGXplorer 1.9 is now available. This hotpatch fixes a few bugs with prerequisites, the leveling wizard and class level generation.
This is for those of you that upgraded with either the patch or the full installer BEFORE 17:00 BST (UTC +1) on the 12th August. See here for full details.

RPGXplorer - Characters & Rules Version 1.8.5The RPGXplorer 1.8.5 Patch is now out, as always you can get it on the downloads page.
This patch adds a load of new system components to tackle some of the stranger feats and features out there. It also includes a few other enhancements, such as a filter bar on the feat selection panel in the character leveling wizard.

RPGXplorer - Characters & Rules Version 1.8 and Pathfinder datasetsThe latest RPGXplorer upgrade is now available via the downloads page.
The upgrade comes in 3 files. The patch itself, a file patch and a data patch. As always, run the patch first, then the file patch (remember to change the unzip directory if you have installed RPGXplorer somewhere other than the default directory).
Once up and running you can then import the data patch. The data patch includes a few fixes for existing items, as well as all the divine domains and spells. We have changed the importing somewhat, so you can now see exactly what changes are going to made to your database. Patch notes are available on the downloads page.
Also available is the first set of the Pathfinder datasets. Check out the RPGXplorer dataset forums for links and info!

XML Update and Special Materials - Version 1.7 Now Available!Version 1.7 of RPGXplorer is now available from the downloads page.
This version adds the ability to define and purchase weapons, armor, shields and ammunition made from a selection of special materials.
We have also expanded the XML Workshop, it now outputs your characters in even more detail than before. This version also comes with a selection of XSL transformations (thanks to Nebular!) and the ability to select and apply an XSL transformation right off the character menu. View your characters in stat-block format at the click of a button.

Psionic Help Page Templates - File PatchThe help page templates for the new psionic components are now available! As always, the existing Version 1.6.1 File Patch has been updated to include these new files, so users patching from 1.05 will have these files already.
This is a self extracting zip file, simply run it and unzip the contents to your installation directory (the default installation directory will be filled in for you). Windows Vista users may have to run the patch in administrator mode.

Monk, Psionic Fist and Powers - Data PatchUpdated versions of the Monk and Psionic fist components are now available from the link above. The Version 1.6 data patch has also been updated to match.
This changes how the monk class operates, so if you have any existing monk characters, they should be remade - the previous Monk AC, Fast Movement and Improved Unarmed Damage components have been removed from the Monk class definition and replaced with 3 new features.

These newer Specializations include various "Specific Bonus Class Skill" components

RPGXplorer 1.6.1 Now AvailableThe RPGXplorer Version 1.6.1 patch is now available on the Downloads page.
This patch includes a few bug fixes, for more details see the 1.6.1 release notes also available via the Downloads page.
Full instructions for patching from 1.0.5 to 1.6.1 are also now available. It is quite a complex procedure, so remember to backup your XML folder!

RPGXplorer 1.6 Now Available - Psionics and More!Version 1.6 is now available!
Version 1.6 of RPGXplorer features the much awaited psionics update, you can now create psionic classes, races, powers and a host of psionic items.
The full install of RPGXplorer 1.6 is now available from the downloads page. Due to some technical problems, the 1.05 to 1.6 patch will be made available on Monday the 25th.

RPGXplorer Help System Now AvailableThe help system for RPGXplorer is now available and can be downloaded from the link above.
Simply download the file and copy it into your installation directory, replacing the existing 'RPGXplorerHelp.chm' file in the process.

Uninstalling Problem for I.E. 7 usersOld versions of the RPGXplorer installer which used InstallShield 10 (basically everything before 1.04a) have a problem with some shared DLL's, specifically the ones involving Internet Explorer 7.
So if you have I.E. 7 then do not use the automatic uninstall feature from the control panel.

1.04a Now AvailableThis latest version fixes some defects in last week update.
You may have noticed that we have been experiencing some problems with our previous patches, so we have upgraded to InstallShield 12, unfortunately this means we are unable to provide a patch, so this version is only available as a full installation.
Patching Instructions from 1.03 and above to 1.04a
RPGXplorer 1.04a will install alongside older versions of RPGXplorer. You can keep your existing database (1.03 and above) and rule pages by simply copying and pasting the XML and HTML folders into the new installation directory and replacing the existing files. If you copy the "RPGXplorer.dlsc" to this directory also, you will not need to re-enter your license key.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but this should fix the problem for future patches.

Has ArrivedIt’s a new year and there is a new version of RPGXplorer to go with it. This latest version includes the brand new XML Workshop, so if you’re getting bored of the RPGXplorer Character Sheet (unlikely, I know) then you can play around with generating your own custom XSLT sheets and stat blocks.
New Video Tutorials
Two new video tutorials by Nebular are now available from the RPGXplorer forums. The first is a detailed example of how to add a new Feat Definition and new user list items, in the second he covers Spells and Spell Schools.

1.03b PatchCouple of issues cropped up with 1.03a, namely the existing of the now defunct Armor Class (Base) system element in your old data. This patch fixes the problem and patches your database (it also automatically patches any data you load in again).
Also, a stupid error in 1.03a prevented you from loading in data from 1.03. DOH!!! This has been fixed in 1.03b

1.03a PatchThe inevitable 1.03a patch. This patches fixes a few issues with locked panels, a very major issue with modifier calculation that crept in at the last minute to 1.03 and a handful of other minor buglets.
Note that this patch self-fixes an issue with the spells database relating to Arcane/Divine flags and Scrolls.

1.03 is here!It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here. The much improved UI, vastly improved support for different casting types, spell points, the rules viewer and a slew of other enhancements too numerous to mention.

1.03 Help System Delayed
The help is now activated via F1 or the help menu and uses a standard help file and viewer. However, we didn't get the help system finished in time so a revised .chm (compiled help file) will be issued as soon as it is ready.
1.03 More Tutorial Movies (COMING SOON)
We will be rolling out a whole host of tutorial movies over the coming weeks. We've discovered that this is by far the best way to get you up to speed with the application and how to get the most out of it.
