Interesting to see 4E do so well at the Ennies. Having said that it is more interesting that they entered products this year, there was a previous understanding that they didn't because they won everything. _________________ If home is where the heart lies, if the heart lies, where is home? |

Whats more interesting is how many they didnt win. In the past its generally wizards throughout but it seems people have turned their attention to other systems while waiting for the next big thing. will Pathfinder fill that void? only 2010 ennies will confirm that. _________________ "Consequences, Schmonsequences, as long as I'm rich." - Daffy Duck

Arise thread Necromancy!
Well, having now played both 4th E and Pathfinder I say that...
It really depends on who you're playing with.
Pathfinder is less of a change than 4e IMO and I kind of dig it more.
But even the bits I don't like about 4e can be eliminated by playing in the right group. My regular group went the Pathfinder route. It's comfortable and it seems very cozy.
I've played a semi regular 4e game which more or less sucks due to the ultra casual nature and frequent no shows. I have a chance to forget everything between sessions. But I played with a friend in Colorado when I visited and had a grand time.
But I do dig Pathfinder. And I'm hoping that RpgXplorer gets the Template and Patfhinder thing worked out. as it is my fave tool at the moment _________________ Look at all the happy people. |

So no news on a RPGXplorer created dataset for Pathfinder specifically? I really want to buy this tool and currently am trying out the trial but not so pleased with it at the moment if it does support PF.
I think that pathfinder is one of the better rule sets right now and it would be beneficial for all if RPGXplorer would migrate these rules in to the program. I think that they would sell SO many more programs should they do so. |

| There's a lot of re-engineering involved in switching over to PF. Don't hold your breath, but do keep checking back. |
